Testing scheme : GMO 1. For each material Encode innovations chooses the optimized DNA-extraction method 2. The extracted DNA is tested for amount and quality with real-time PCR 3. The GMO can be identified in three ways: A. first PCR screening for sequences typical for GMOs (e.g. p35S, Tnos, EPSPS, pFMV...) and in case of positive results the identification with GMO-specific PCR follows B. if there is already a hint for a certain GMO, the specific qualitative or quantitative PCR is performed directly C. direct quantification of e.g. CaMV35S promotor in corn, RoundupReady soy in soy,... Detection limit: > 0,01% Quantification limit: 0,1%
