ENCODE PLANT IDENTIFICATION KIT
ENCODE GMO plant identification kit allows qualitative real time PCR detection of transgenic DNA by targeting regulatory regions approved by the EU. To attain the highest possible coverage of commercialized GMOs, various regulatory regions as per EU guidelines were selected: 35S promoter region of the cauliflower mosaic virus (P-35S), the nopalin synthase gene terminator from Agrobacterium tumefaciens (T-nos), 34S promoter from Figwart Masaic virus (P34S) . Exclusive CaMV genomic region has also been detected to rule out the natural presence of CaMV in plants. It also includes endogenous reference gene for specific detection of plant DNA, as the use of reference gene helps to exclude the possibility of false negative results due to the possible inhibitor presence or inappropriate DNA quality.
